Napfkuchen

Ingredients
- 250 g butter (or margarine)
- 200 g sugar
- 1 vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 eggs (size M)
- 375 g flour
- 2 heaping tsp baking powder
- 50 g ground almonds
- 3 tbsp rum
- 50 ml milk
- 150 g chocolate coffee beans (or chocolate chips)

Grease a plate cake pan. Preheat oven to 175°C. Whisk butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a bowl with hand mixer beaters until the sugar is almost dissolved. Gradually fold in the eggs.

Mix flour, baking powder and almonds. First fold half of this into the egg-butter mixture, then briefly fold in the remaining flour mix. Stir in rum and optionally a little milk to create a thick batter. Fold in chocolate coffee beans.

Pour batter into the pan, smooth top. Bake in hot oven for about 50-60 minutes. Let rest briefly in pan, transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.

Decorate with powdered sugar, sprinkles or cocoa glaze as desired.
