Müsli from Spoonsparrow: The tasty fresh grain porridge with apples, carrots and hazelnuts is the perfect start to the day!

Ingredients

  • 100 g fresh wheat groats
  • 100 g fresh oat groats
  • 2 tart apples (e.g., Granny Smith)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 400 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
  • 2 tbsp whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 3 tbsp hazelnut kernels
  • 2 tsp flax seeds

Instructions

    Whisk wheat and oat groats with 200 ml water in a bowl, cover, and let soak overnight in the refrigerator.

    In the morning peel apples and carrots, quarter the apples, remove cores, grate carrots. Mix both immediately with lemon juice.

    Stir yogurt with cream and honey, season to taste. Roast hazelnuts in a hot pan without added fat, remove, cool, then roughly chop.

    Spread the soaked grain porridge onto bowls, pour yogurt mixture over it, and sprinkle with flax seeds and nuts. Serve muesli.
