Ingredients

  • 2 roasted nori sheets
  • 1 piece pickled daikon (about 10 cm)
  • 200 g ready-made sushi rice
  • 4 tbsp sweet-sour chili sauce
  • 1 piece cucumber salad (about 10 cm)
  • 5 leaves lemon balm or mint
  • 50 g salmon
  • 0.25 avocado
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch wasabi

Instructions

    Cut the Nori sheets in half.

    Pat the daikon dry, cut it lengthwise in half and slice into pointed strips.

    Place a halved Nori sheet on the bamboo mat. Spread a quarter of the sushi rice, leaving a narrow edge at the top. In the middle, drizzle a strip of chili sauce over the rice. Lay the daikon strips on top so that their tips extend beyond the edges to the left and right. Roll everything with the help of the mat. Cut into 4 pieces. Arrange one edge piece with the protruding daikon tips next to a center piece.

    Peel, halve, seed, and slice the cucumber into 5 mm thin strips. Place a halved Nori sheet on the bamboo mat. Spread a quarter of the sushi rice, leaving a narrow edge at the top. In the middle, drizzle a strip of chili sauce over the rice and lay the lemon balm leaves (they should extend beyond the edges to the left and right). Lay the cucumber strips on top so that their tips also extend beyond the edges. Roll everything with the help of the mat. Cut into 4 pieces. Arrange one edge piece with the protruding cucumber tips and herb leaf next to a center piece. Drizzle with extra chili sauce if desired.

    Finely chop the salmon and mix with 1 tbsp chili sauce. Place a halved Nori sheet on the bamboo mat. Spread a quarter of the sushi rice, leaving a narrow edge at the top. Place the salmon‑chili mixture as a strip in the middle of the rice and roll everything with the help of the mat. Cut into 6 pieces.

    Peel the avocado, slice it, and immediately drizzle with lemon juice. Place a halved Nori sheet on the bamboo mat. Spread a quarter of the sushi rice, leaving a narrow edge at the top. Spread wasabi paste in the middle of the rice. Lay the avocado strips on top and roll everything with the help of the mat. Cut into 6 pieces.
