Mixed Goulash with Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 200 g beef round
  • 200 g pork shoulder (skinless)
  • 1 l vegetable broth
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stalk leek
  • 250 g carrots
  • 250 g Potatoes
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • a pinch nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove

Instructions

    Peel and dice the onions, peel and finely chop the garlic. Cut the beef round and pork shoulder into about 3 cm cubes. Brown the meat in hot oil, add onions and garlic, cook together, pour in vegetable broth, add bay leaf and nutmeg, season with salt and pepper, then simmer for about 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile clean the leek and cut into rings. Peel the carrots and slice them into 1 cm thick rounds. Peel, wash and cube the potatoes. Add the potatoes to the meat mixture and simmer for another 20 minutes, then stir in carrots and leeks and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
