Mini Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 400 g ground beef (fine)
  • 100 g veal patty
  • 1 garlic clove (pressed)
  • 1 shallot (finely diced)
  • 1 tsp chopped thyme
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • 3 slices cheddar cheese (or sliced block cheese)
  • 2 small pickles
  • 3 small tomatoes
  • 5 tbsp ketchup
  • 10 small sesame buns (party buns)

Instructions

    Mix the meat with patty, garlic, onions, thyme, salt and pepper and shape 20 small patties. Heat clarified butter in a pan and fry the patties in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side.

    Cut cheese into pieces about 2.5x2.5 cm.

    Slice buns lengthwise and spread ketchup on both halves. Slice pickles and tomatoes thinly. Place a meat patty on the lower bun half, top with a slice of cheese, then tomatoes and pickles, add another meat patty, more cheese, pickles and tomatoes. Cover with the upper bun half and secure each burger with a wooden skewer.
