Meatballs with Asian Noodles

Ingredients
- 600 g ground pork
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 cm fresh ginger
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp five-spice mix
- Salt
- ground pepper
- 400 g Chinese egg noodles
- 2 carrots
- 400 g Chinese cabbage
- 2 tbsp chili oil
- coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions

Place the ground pork in a bowl. Peel and finely chop the garlic and ginger. Add both to the pork and knead thoroughly with the egg and five-spice powder. Season with salt and pepper, then form small balls from the mixture.

Cook the noodles according to package instructions.

Peel and cut the carrots into sticks. Wash, trim, and roughly chop the cabbage. Place carrots and cabbage in a steamer basket and steam over boiling water for about 6-8 minutes covered.

Brown the meatballs in hot chili oil in a pan for 5-6 minutes on all sides.

Drain the noodles and arrange them with the vegetables and meatballs on plates. Drizzle soy sauce to taste and garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
