Marinated Octopus Salad

Ingredients

  • 650 g frozen octopus
  • Salt
  • dried oregano
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Take the octopus meat out of the package and thaw it. Rinse thoroughly under running water and cut into bite‑sized pieces.

    Add about 1/8 l water to a pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for 1½–2 hours depending on size. The flesh is done when pierced with a fork it is completely tender.

  3. 3.

    Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and oregano to make a dressing. Toss the drained octopus in the dressing, cover, and let rest for several hours.
