Making spicy herb oil yourself is easier than you think! With the recipe from Spoonsparrow it definitely works and goes well with meat, bread or salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch basil (small)
  • 12 chili peppers
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

    Make spicy herb oil: wash basil, remove leaves, dry. Slice chili peppers lengthwise, remove seeds and stems, cut into strips. Peel garlic and slice thinly. Warm olive oil. Add basil, chili, and garlic to the oil and let steep for 5 minutes over low heat. Stir in salt, pour into a glass jar, seal, and let infuse for 1 week.
