Macaroni with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 400 g macaroni (tube pasta)
  • 1 kg tomatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 0.5 bunch oregano leaves finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp parmesan freshly grated

Instructions

    Boil the tomatoes, peel, halve, core and dice them.

    Wash the celery and cut into small slices.

  3. 3.

    Peel the onion and finely chop it.

  4. 4.

    Sauté the onions in olive oil, press in garlic, add tomatoes and celery, season with salt, pour in a little water and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding more water if needed.

    Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente, then drain.

    Stir oregano into the sauce, taste, and combine with the pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan before serving.
