Macaroni Bake with Bell Peppers

Ingredients
- 400 g macaroni
- Salt
- Olive oil (for the dish)
- 2 bell pepper halves (red and yellow)
- 400 g turkey meat
- 1 handful basil
- 1 Garlic clove
- 100 g grated Parmesan
- 3 eggs
- 100 g cream cheese
- 150 ml Heavy Cream
- pepper (ground)
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- basil for garnish
Instructions

Cook the pasta in salted water until very firm. Then briefly rinse and drain.

Preheat the oven to 180°C with fan and top heat. Lightly oil a baking dish.

Wash, halve, clean, and slice the bell peppers into strips. Rinse, pat dry, and cut the turkey meat into strips as well. Shake off excess water from basil leaves, then finely shred them. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Combine both with half of the parmesan, mix with the meat and pepper strips, and layer alternately with pasta in the baking dish. Finish with a top layer of pasta.

Whisk together eggs, cream cheese, and heavy cream; season well with pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Pour evenly over the pasta and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
