Low‑Carb Waffles

Make low‑carb waffles at home: protein‑rich and wonderfully crisp, this treat comes out of the hot waffle iron.

Ingredients

  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g low‑fat quark
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 6 tbsp protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavor)
  • 160 g Greek yogurt (8 tbsp)
  • 1 Pomegranate

Instructions

    Preheat the waffle iron. Melt the butter in a saucepan.

    Whisk together the butter, low‑fat quark, eggs, and rapeseed oil with an electric mixer.

    Fold in the protein powder until smooth, then pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.

    Meanwhile, halve the pomegranate and gently remove the seeds (best done in a large bowl filled with water). Arrange the finished waffles on plates and garnish each with 1 tbsp yogurt and pomegranate seeds.
