Ingredients

  • 3 rosemary
  • 3 sage
  • 600 g sugar
  • 70 ml water
  • 1 tsp red food coloring
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 6 wooden skewers

Instructions

    Wash apples, dry them, remove the stem and instead stick a wooden skewer into each apple.

    Evenly spread 50 g of sugar on a flat plate.

    Quickly bring the remaining sugar, water, food coloring, and vinegar to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pot and let it bubble until the candy thermometer reads 150°C.

    Immediately remove the pot from the heat. Dip the apples one by one into the syrup, turning them until they are completely coated, place them on the sugared plate, and allow them to cool.
