Lemon Granita

Ingredients

  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 untreated lemons
  • 4 lemons (optional untreated)
  • 40 ml vodka (or apple juice)

Instructions

    Add the sugar to 200 ml water in a pot. Bring to a gentle boil for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.

    Wash the untreated lemons hot and pat dry. Grate the zest. Squeeze the juice of all lemons. Mix both with the vodka under the syrup and let cool. Pour the liquid into a shallow metal dish and freeze in the freezer for at least 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes with a fork.

    Before serving stir vigorously again and serve in chilled bowls.
