Lemon Balm Cinnamon Tea

Melisse-Cinnamon tea: an aromatic brew with a hint of the Orient. The cinnamon in the tea stimulates metabolism and fat burning while soothing hunger pangs.

Ingredients

  • 100 g organic orange (0.5 organic oranges)
  • 0.5 small cinnamon stick
  • 0.5 tsp Coriander seeds
  • sweetener (optional)
  • 3 stems Lemon balm

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Rinse half an orange hot, dry rub it and thinly peel the zest with a paring knife.

  2. 2.

    Bring 200 ml water to a boil with the cinnamon stick and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

    Add about two-thirds of the orange zest and coriander seeds; let simmer another 2-3 minutes over low heat. Sweeten to taste if desired.

    Wash lemon balm, shake dry and pluck the leaves. Set aside some for garnish, put the rest in a large cup.

    Squeeze the orange, pour the juice into the cinnamon mixture and bring to a brief boil. Strain over the lemon balm. Garnish with remaining orange zest and lemon balm.
