Lángos Recipe (Basic Recipe)
The Lángos Recipe (Basic Recipe) from Spoonsparrow is super easy. Why not try making these Hungarian flatbreads yourself?
Ingredients
- 500 g Wheat flour type 1050
- 200 ml lukewarm milk (3.5% fat)
- 0.5 cube Yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 100 ml Rapeseed oil

Place the flour in a bowl, form a well in the center, add 50 ml lukewarm milk and crumble the yeast into it. Mix with a little flour and let rise for about 30 minutes under a cover.

Then add the remaining lukewarm milk, 150 ml lukewarm water and 1 tsp of salt and knead everything into a smooth dough (you may need a little more or less water). Let rise again for about 30 minutes under a cover.

Oil your hands, tear off small portions of dough and form small flatbreads (diameter 15-20 cm) from them, stretching them thin. Heat oil in a deep pan or pot and fry the Lángos for about 1-2 minutes per side. Then drain on kitchen paper.
