Lamb Steaks with Okra, Rice and Chapati

Ingredients
- Chapati (indian flatbread, ready-made Asian store product)
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp hot curry powder
- 2 tsp yellow curry paste
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 Garlic clove
- 150 g lamb steak from the shank (about 2 steaks)
- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- 100 g okra pods
- 100 g basmati rice
- 2 small tomatoes
Instructions

Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the garlic. Wash and trim the okra pods.

Heat oil in a large oven‑proof pan and sauté the onions until translucent, then stir in curry powder, curry paste, tomato paste, squeeze in the garlic and cook for about 2 minutes. Add lamb slices and tamarind, pour in 1 cup water (150 ml), cover with foil and bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes. Flip the meat, add okra and bake covered another 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook rice according to package instructions. Wash tomatoes and quarter them. Warm chapatis as directed on the pack.
