Ingredients

  • 1 lamb steak (about 180 g from the leg)
  • 1 Shallot
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp white wine
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 1 slice pickled beetroot
  • arugula leaf
  • sesame roll
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the shallot, then sauté in 1 tbsp hot butter in a small saucepan until translucent. Add the wine and simmer for a few minutes until the liquid evaporates; set aside to cool.

    Season the lamb steak with salt and pepper, then cook each side in the remaining butter for about 2–3 minutes per side.

    Slice the sesame roll open and spread mayonnaise on both halves. On the bottom half layer arugula leaf, pickled beet slice, tomato slices, place the cooked lamb steak on top, and finish with caramelized shallots. Cover with the top half of the roll and wrap in a napkin if desired.
