Ingredients

  • 300 g flour (and extra for working)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • Salt
  • 800 g white cabbage
  • 4 onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 125 ml meat broth
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

    Knead a smooth dough from flour, eggs, oil and ½ tsp salt. Shape into a ball, wrap in foil and rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

    Roll the dough thin on a floured surface and cut into strips approximately 2×8 cm. Let rest on a floured surface until further use.

    Clean the cabbage, remove the core, wash and slice finely. Peel the onions; finely chop two, halve the others and slice finely. Heat butter in a large pot, sauté the chopped onions and sprinkle with sugar. Allow to caramelize slightly. Add the cabbage, cook briefly, season with salt and pepper, pour in broth, cover and steam for about 15 minutes.

    Cook the noodles in boiling salted water until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain well. Heat oil in a pan, brown the onion strips while stirring. Briefly sauté the noodles, then mix everything into the steamed cabbage, season with salt and pepper, and serve.
