Ingredients

  • 6 pears
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 candied ginger pieces
  • 2 tbsp almond slivers
  • whipped cream

Instructions

    Peel fresh pears, halve them, remove cores, and simmer with a bit of water, lemon juice, and sugar. Canned pears can be placed directly into the syrup in a glass bowl.

    Thinly slice ginger and scatter over the fruit. Let it infuse in the refrigerator. Roast almond slivers in the oven until golden yellow for even texture.

    Just before serving, sprinkle over the pears. Serve with lightly whipped cream flavored with real vanilla sugar.
