Kids Vanilla Latte

Milk muffins become weak in the kids vanilla latte while sipping a decent portion of vitamin C and calcium.

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh dates
  • 4 walnut kernels
  • 2 tbsp sweetened sea buckthorn juice
  • 1.5 tsp defatted cocoa powder
  • 250 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 1 vanilla bean (about 1 cm)

Instructions

    Peel, halve and pit the dates. Roughly chop the walnut kernels with a large knife.

    Add sea buckthorn juice, 1 tsp cocoa powder and 75 ml milk to a tall vessel along with the dates and walnuts; blend finely with an immersion blender.

    Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the remaining milk to a pot and warm (do not boil).

    Foam the milk with a small whisk or milk frother.

    Pour the date‑cocoa milk into a glass, top with the frothed milk, sprinkle with the rest of the cocoa powder and serve immediately.
