Juicy Apple Cake with Almonds and Apple Jelly

A juicy apple cake with almonds and apple jelly for any occasion! The fruity nutty combination tastes simply delicious!

Ingredients

  • soft butter (for the springform)
  • soft breadcrumbs (for the springform)
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 150 g ground almonds (peeled)
  • 250 g flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 4 sour apples
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp apple jelly

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat. Grease a springform pan with butter and line it with breadcrumbs.

    Beat the butter, sugar, and salt until fluffy. Gradually fold in the eggs while continuing to mix. Alternately stir in the flour mixed with baking powder and almonds, then add milk, creating a smooth, spreadable batter. Pour into the pan and level the surface.

    Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Score each quarter on the convex side several times. Drizzle with lemon juice and arrange on top of the batter. Press lightly and bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown (test with a skewer). If the cake darkens too much, cover it with foil.

    Remove the cake from the oven and brush warm with apple jelly. Let cool.
