Italian Herb Flammkuchen

This Italian herb flammkuchen is easy to prepare and tastes great for dinner, lunch, or as a take‑away option.

Ingredients

  • 220 g flour
  • 125 g Arla Kærgården® Pikant Italian Herbs (= 1 pack)
  • Salt
  • 1 eggplant
  • 1 Zucchini
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 150 g Parma ham

Instructions

    Knead the flour, 2 tbsp liquid Arla Kærgården Pikant Italian Herbs, ½ tsp salt and 100 ml cold water into a smooth dough, wrap in foil and let rest for about 30 minutes.

    Wash, trim, and slice the eggplant and zucchini. In batches, sauté them over medium heat with 6 tbsp Arla Kærgården Pikant Italian Herbs, seasoning with salt and pepper.

    Divide the dough in half, roll each piece very thinly, and place on two baking trays lined with parchment paper. Mix the sour cream with the remaining Arla Kærgården Pikant Italian Herbs, brush the dough with this mixture, and top with the eggplant and zucchini slices. Cut the Parma ham into halves, distribute over the flammkuchen, bake in a preheated oven at 240 °C (gas: level 6, fan‑forced 220 °C) for about 8–10 minutes until golden brown, then serve.
