Ingredients
- 50 ml low‑fat milk
- 7 g espresso powder
- 40 ml water
- 40 ml whiskey
- 1 cup hot coffee
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 50 g whipping cream
Instructions
-
1.
A cappuccino consists of espresso and milk foam.
-
2.
If the espresso is too strong, you can also use brewed coffee beans.
-
3.
The best way to make the milk foam (from low‑fat milk) is with the steam wand of an espresso machine. Alternatively, use a manual milk frother, a kind of mini whirlpool available in specialty stores.
-
4.
Prepare an espresso with about 7–8 grams of espresso powder and 40–65 ml water in an espresso machine or a two‑part espresso pot.
-
5.
The espresso tastes best when freshly ground; preheat the cup beforehand.
-
6.
Warm the coffee, whiskey, and sugar together, dissolving the sugar. Lightly whip the cream and place it as a cap on top of the coffee.
