Ingredients

  • 400 g fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 piece ginger (4 cm)
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 red chilies
  • Salt

Instructions

    Clean, trim, wash and drain the spinach. Peel and finely chop the ginger. Peel and cut the onion into small pieces.

    Wash the chilies, slit one lengthwise. Heat ghee in a pot. Add the chilies, ginger, onion, coriander and cumin and sauté in hot ghee.

    Add the spinach, cover and let it wilt together. Stir well and simmer covered for about 2 minutes. Season with salt.
