Ingredients

  • 100 g Soft Butter
  • 75 g cane sugar
  • 2 EL white wine vinegar
  • 2 EL water
  • 200 g Whole Wheat Flour
  • butter (for baking trays)
  • 50 g currant jam

Instructions

    Cream butter, sugar, vinegar and water with an electric hand mixer, then fold in the flour.

    Roll dough into small balls and place on well‑buttered baking trays. Dip a wooden spoon handle into cold water and press small depressions into the balls, filling them with warmed jam.

    Bake in preheated oven (180°C center) about 10 minutes until lightly browned. Remove hot. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
