Ingredients
- 3 kg ripe apricots
- 600 ml apricot brandy
- 600 ml 70% alcohol from pharmacy
- 1.5 kg sugar
- 300 ml water
- 1 vanilla pod

Wash, halve and pit the apricots, then layer them with the vanilla pod in a sealable jar. Pour the apricot brandy and the alcohol over them. Leave for one week in a sunny spot.

Boil the sugar and water together while stirring until syrup forms. Let it cool. Crush the apricots, pour the syrup over them, and leave for another three weeks in a warm place, shaking vigorously repeatedly.

Finally strain through a sieve and coffee filter, fill bottles, cork them, and store in a cool place for at least two more weeks.
