Hibiscus Iced Tea

The Hibiscus iced tea from Spoonsparrow is a great refreshment for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 7 g hibiscus tea (loose)
  • 8 sage leaves
  • 2 limes
  • 2 Vanilla Beans
  • 4 tsp agave syrup
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

    Place hibiscus flowers in a tea infuser or tea egg, add sage leaves, pour 1 L boiling water over them and let steep for 8 minutes. Remove the infuser, leave the sage leaves in the brew and cool for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for another 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile squeeze the limes. Split the vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add lime juice, vanilla seeds and agave syrup to the cooled tea, stir well and pour into four glasses. Add ice cubes and serve.
