- 1 tbsp lavender buds
- 180 g butter
- 75 g sugar
- 300 g flour
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
- 50 g sugar (for rolling)
- 1 tbsp lavender buds (for sprinkling)

Crush the lavender buds lightly and let them steep in lukewarm, melted butter. Whip the butter with the sugar, sift the flour with the baking powder into the butter mixture, then fold in gradually until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into 3 cm thick logs.

Roll the logs in sugar and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Cut the dough into 0.5 cm thin slices, place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Remove, let cool, and serve sprinkled with lavender buds.
