Ingredients

  • 1 roll
  • 12 medium tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 500 g pork sausage meat
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (thyme and basil)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 250 g Basmati rice
  • 600 ml Vegetable Broth

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C with upper and lower heat.

    Soak the roll in lukewarm water. Wash the tomatoes, cut off a lid from each and carefully hollow them out. Peel and finely dice the onion. Mix the sausage meat, squeezed roll, and egg yolk in a bowl. Fold in the herbs and season with salt and pepper. Fill the tomato cavities with the mixture.

    Scatter rice in a roasting dish and pour over the broth. Place the stuffed tomatoes on top of the rice and set the lids aside. Season with salt and pepper and bake for about 30 minutes.
