Ingredients
- 75 g butter
- 75 g sugar
- 0.5 packet vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 3 tbsp milk
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- fat (for the pan)
- 60 g cream cheese (pure)
- 60 g Butter
- 30 g powdered sugar
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- red food coloring
- sugar sprinkles (for topping)
Instructions
-
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat.
-
2.
Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then pour in the milk. Combine flour and baking powder, sift over the batter, and whisk thoroughly into the mixture. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 25-30 minutes; test with a skewer. Remove, let cool briefly, turn out onto a sheet, and allow to cool completely. Crumble the cake into a bowl. Cream the butter and sugar together, fold in the cream cheese, and knead the mixture with the cake crumbs. Form small balls from the dough and chill for about 10 minutes.
-
3.
Press each ball into a heart-shaped cutter, distributing the dough evenly. Carefully remove the cutter and smooth the heart shape.
-
4.
Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice to make a thick glaze, color it with food coloring. Coat the hearts in the glaze and sprinkle with sugar sprinkles. Insert a wooden stick and serve decorated with an marzipan crown if desired.
