Ingredients

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 200 g Flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 6 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 80 g Butter
  • 40 g powdered sugar
  • 80 g cream cheese (pure)
  • 300 g dark chocolate
  • brown candied sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat.

  2. 2.

Cream the butter with the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with cocoa powder and baking powder, and alternately fold into the butter‑egg mixture with yogurt. Pour the batter into a parchment-lined springform pan, smooth the surface, and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3.

Meanwhile, cream the butter with powdered sugar and gradually add the cream cheese.

  4. 4.

Remove the finished cake from the oven, let it cool, then crumble it into a bowl. Knead in the cream mixture and form 24 small balls. Shape 16 of them into ears and set aside; refrigerate all balls for one hour. Insert sticks into each ball. Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it over a hot but not boiling water bath.

  5. 5.

Drop two small dollops of melted chocolate onto the ear areas of the balls, place the ears on top, and let dry. Then coat the entire bunny heads with chocolate, sprinkle brown sugar, and allow to set. Serve in small glasses topped with sugar and chocolate shavings.
