Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 3 tbsp vinegar (white wine, sherry or red wine)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt
  • fresh ground pepper
  • sugar
  • 80 ml olive oil

    Remove the outer leaves of the head lettuce. Separate and tear the remaining leaves into bite‑size pieces, discarding thick stems as desired.
