Hamburger
Protein-rich hamburger, classic interpretation by Spoonsparrow. Ready on the table in just 35 minutes – simply enjoy and feel good!
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil (20 g)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 400 g ground beef
- breadcrumbs (as needed)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 4 lettuce leaves (e.g., Lollo bionda)
- 1 Red Onion
- 1 tomato
- 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sharp mustard
- 4 burger buns

Peel and finely dice the onion. Sauté in a pan with 1 tbsp oil until translucent. Let cool slightly, then mix into the ground beef along with the egg and thyme. Add breadcrumbs until the mixture is easily formable, season with salt and pepper, and shape into four patties.

Cook the patties in a hot pan with the remaining oil, turning occasionally for 6-8 minutes until golden brown on both sides.

Wash, dry, and tear the lettuce leaves. Slice the red onion into rings. Wash the tomato, remove the stem, and slice thinly. Whisk mayonnaise with mustard until smooth.

Halve the buns horizontally and toast the cut surfaces until golden. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, layer with lettuce, then place the patties topped with tomato slices and onions. Close with the top bun and serve.
