Ham Quark Sandwich

A fresh ham and quark sandwich featuring crisp lettuce, thinly sliced beef bacon, and a sprinkle of garden cress.

Ingredients

  • 500 g quark (20% fat)
  • 2 tbsp sour horseradish cream
  • Salt
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 4 whole‑grain baguette rolls
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • 150 g thinly sliced beef bacon
  • 1 small box of garden cress

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Season the quark with sour horseradish, salt and pepper.

  2. 2.

    Slice the baguette rolls open. Spread almost all of the quark on each half, leaving a small margin.

  3. 3.

    Layer lettuce leaves and beef bacon slices over the quark.

  4. 4.

    Spread the remaining quark on top and sprinkle with garden cress before serving.
