Ingredients

  • 15 sheets of gelatin (3 sheets per 200 ml)
  • 6 oranges
  • 0.8 l fruit juice to taste (e.g., cherry, orange, pineapple, apple juice etc.)

    Soak the gelatin in plenty of cold water. Wash the oranges; using a sharp knife cut off a lid from the top quarter and carefully hollow out each orange, squeezing out the juice for use or drinking as desired.

    Cut faces into the hollowed oranges. For the jelly, squeeze the gelatin portions, melt them gently in a small pot over low heat, stir in some fruit juice to balance temperature, then mix with the remaining juice. Pour into a shallow wide dish and refrigerate until set. Repeat with other juices. Once set, break apart each dessert onto a board and chop. Distribute the jelly into the hollowed oranges. Serve well chilled.
