Grilled Wagyu Steak
Aromatic, tender and simply unbeatable: Try grilled Wagyu steak from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 4 Wagyu Strip Steaks (about 220 g each)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Sea salt
- ground pepper

Take the meat out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before grilling to make it more tender. Pat dry and lightly brush with oil. Season with salt and pepper, then place on the grill. Cooking time varies depending on quality and thickness.

After 2-3 minutes grill the slightly browned steaks and flip them. After another 2-3 minutes the steak will be about rare.

To test doneness compare the slight finger pressure on the center of the meat slice with the resistance of a handball. Rare feels like when thumb and index finger are together.

After an additional 1-2 minutes per side the meat is medium‑rare. The resistance is greater, similar to thumb and middle finger together. Medium is reached after another 1-2 minutes, compared to thumb and ring finger.

When the resistance is firm (thumb and little finger together) the steak will be well‑done after another 1-2 minutes.

Remove the finished steaks from the grill and let them rest covered with foil for a few minutes before serving.

Serve grilled Wagyu steak as desired with fries.
