Grilled Shrimp Skewers

Fruity, fresh and simply irresistible: These grilled shrimp skewers bring summer to the plate with lime!

Ingredients

  • 12 large shrimp (with heads)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Lime
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small red chili pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash, dry, halve the chili lengthwise, remove seeds, and finely mince it. In a bowl combine oil, garlic, oregano, chili, lime juice, salt, and pepper for the marinade.

    Wash the shrimp, pat them dry, and brush with the marinade. Skewer 3 shrimp alternating with 2 lime wedges on each skewer, then brush again with marinade.

    Grill over high heat, turning every few minutes, for about 10 minutes, brushing with more marinade as needed. Before serving, drizzle the skewers with remaining lime juice.
