Grilled Sardines

Ingredients

  • 1 Organic lemon
  • 16 pre‑cooked sardines
  • Sea salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 6 fresh bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Wash the lemon hot, dry it and slice half of it into thin rounds. Juice the remaining half.

    Rinse the sardines and pat them dry. Season the inside with salt and pepper, fill with lemon slices and bay leaves, and skewer onto soaked wooden sticks.

    Brush the sardines with 1–2 tbsp oil, drizzle with a little lemon juice, season with salt and pepper. Place the sardines on the grill and cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally.
