Grilled Mackerel with Boiled Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 mackerels (ready to cook)
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 4 spring onions
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Sea salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 400 g new potatoes

Instructions

    Wash potatoes thoroughly and steam for about 25 minutes.

    Rinse mackerels, pat dry, season inside and out with salt and pepper, then place on fish grill grids on the grill. Grill slowly for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

    Meanwhile wash bell pepper and spring onions. Halve the pepper, deseed and dice small. Slice spring onions into rings. Peel garlic and finely chop. Wash chili, halve lengthwise, remove seeds and chop. Mix pepper, spring onions, garlic, chili, oil and lemon juice; season sauce with salt and pepper.

    Plate mackerel with potatoes and optionally serve over leafy salad, each with a drizzle of sauce.
