Ingredients

  • 1 old-fashioned roll
  • 7 red shallots
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • olive oil
  • 600 g ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • thyme

Instructions

    Soak the roll in lukewarm water.

    Peel one shallot and the garlic cloves, finely chop them, and sauté in a hot pan with 1 tbsp oil until translucent. Remove from heat and let cool.

    Mix the ground beef with the egg, the squeezed-out roll, the shallot mixture, paprika, salt, and pepper; knead into small rolls. Peel the remaining shallots and cut them lengthwise or quarter.

    Place the meat rolls, the sliced shallots, and thyme in a greased grill pan and cook slowly over high heat, turning occasionally until golden brown.
