Ingredients

  • 500 g cucumber
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bunches dill
  • Salt
  • freshly ground white pepper
  • aluminum foil
  • butter (for brushing)

Instructions

    Wash cucumbers thoroughly and cut them lengthwise into quarters. Then slice into pieces about 7 cm long. Cut four sufficiently large strips of aluminum foil, brush with a little butter. Slice the peeled onion into rings.

    Distribute cucumber pieces on the four foil sheets. Salt heavily and sprinkle white pepper. Distribute onion rings over them. Add half a bundle of washed dill to each cucumber portion. Fold the packets together and press the sides firmly. Place on a charcoal grill and cook over embers for about 20 minutes. The cucumbers pair well with grilled fish.
