Ingredients
- 2 whole chickens (about 1 kg each)
- 80 ml plant oil
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- chili powder
- 2 Eggplants

Rinse the chickens, pat dry, slit along the back and open them. Place on a double grill grate for turning. Season the oil with salt, pepper, and chili, then brush it over the chicken. Grill over indirect heat, turning regularly, for about 30 minutes, brushing with oil occasionally.

Wash and trim the eggplants, slice lengthwise into ~1 cm thick pieces. Salt them and let sit in water for about 10 minutes. Pat dry and brush with oil as well. Grill both sides for about 10 minutes until cooked.
