Grilled Chicken

The crispy grilled chicken from Spoonsparrow scores with a generous portion of usable protein – strengthens your muscles and bones!

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken (about 1.2 kg)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 sprigs parsley
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 1 onion
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tsp Tomato paste
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 50 ml dark beer

    Wash the chicken, pat dry and season both inside and out with salt and pepper. Wash and shake off parsley and thyme. Peel and quarter the onion. Place the onion and herbs in the cavity and secure with a toothpick.

    Mix rapeseed oil with paprika powder, tomato paste and thyme. Brush about half of the mixture onto the chicken and let it marinate for approximately 30 minutes.

    Thread the chicken onto a grill skewer, attach to the grill and cook for about 1 hour while turning constantly, brushing occasionally with more marinade. About 10 minutes before finishing, brush the grilled chicken with beer.
