Ingredients

  • 600 g green beans
  • 4 red onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • fresh oregano (for garnish)

Instructions

    Wash, trim, and halve the beans. Blanch in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes, drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside. Peel the onions and quarter them lengthwise.

    Heat butter in a pan. Add the onions and sauté for about 5 minutes. Deglaze with vinegar and 3-4 tbsp water, then add the beans. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Stir in crème fraîche and season with salt and pepper.

    Garnish with oregano and serve.
