Ingredients

  • 16 large Maultaschen (fresh, loose or from the refrigerated section, with meat filling)
  • Salt
  • 100 g Fontina cheese
  • A few herb leaves (basil, mint, rosemary)
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 50 g sheep cheese
  • fat for greasing the dish

Instructions

    Cook the Maultaschen according to instructions in plenty of salted water. Drain and let them dry well.

    Butter a baking dish. Grate the Fontina, layer the Maultaschen in the dish, sprinkling with Fontina, herbs, and pepper. Crumble the sheep cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (Gas: level 3-4, convection: 200°C) for 15 minutes until golden.
