Gratinated Asparagus with Ham

Taste the spring! Try this simple Spoonsparrow recipe for gratinated asparagus with ham.

Ingredients

  • 750 g green asparagus
  • 4 slices of country ham (without fat edge)
  • Salt
  • 6 eggs (size M)
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 8 tbsp milk
  • Pepper
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 80 g Emmental cheese

Instructions

    Rinse the asparagus. Peel the lower third and trim off the woody ends generously. Cook the asparagus in salted water for 3 minutes. Wrap each bundle of 3-4 asparagus spears with a slice of ham and place them in a greased baking dish.

    Whisk together eggs, crème fraîche, and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Rinse the tomatoes and cut into slices. Grate the cheese.
