Spoonsparrow’s Grandma’s mashed potatoes are a classic side dish that tastes creamy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg waxy potatoes
  • 250 ml milk (3.5 % fat)
  • 50 g butter
  • Salt
  • nutmeg

Instructions

    Wash the potatoes thoroughly (brush if needed) and place them in a pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil covered. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.

    Drain and peel while still hot. Press through a potato masher into a bowl. Heat milk in a small saucepan until warm, then remove from heat. Add butter pieces to the mashed potatoes, season with salt and nutmeg, and stir in with a wooden spoon.

    Gradually pour in the warm milk while stirring until a light, creamy mash forms. Taste and serve as Grandma would.
