SpoonSparrow goat cheese wrapped in grape leaves is a recipe featuring fresh ingredients from the appetizer category.
Ingredients
- 4 large grape leaves (in brine, alternatively 8 smaller grape leaves in brine)
- 4 round goat cheese balls
- olive oil
- 1 handful fresh sage leaves (finely chopped)
- Pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
-
1.
Rinse the grape leaves under cold water, lay them flat on kitchen paper and let drain, then pat dry with a towel.
-
2.
Place the prepared leaves on a work surface and put one cheese ball in the center of each leaf. For two smaller leaves, overlap them to increase area.
-
3.
Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil over each cheese ball and sprinkle generously with sage and pepper, then wrap the grape leaf into a parcel. Fold the sides of the leaf inward and tuck the bottom down. Arrange the filled parcels so they do not puff up.
