Ingredients

  • 1 Spanferkelschinken (ca. 1,5 kg)
  • Salz
  • Pfeffer (aus der Mühle)
  • 200 ml Cidre
  • 2 EL Honig
  • 1 TL getrockneter Thymian

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C fan.

    Rinse the ham, pat dry and score the rind in about 1 cm wide strips. Rub all over with salt and pepper. Place on a baking tray and roast for about 2 hours.

    Warm the cider with honey and thyme in a small pot. Brush the ham with this mixture repeatedly during roasting.

  4. 4.

    Remove from oven and serve plated on a platter.
