Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 150 g fresh ginger (1 piece)
  • Limettas (1 each, untreated)
  • Oranges (1 each, untreated)
  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 star anise

Instructions

    Peel and finely grate the ginger. Thinly peel the zest of the lime and orange with a microplane. Squeeze the lime for juice.

    Bring 1 l water to a boil with the sugar, add the ginger and simmer for 1 minute. Add the citrus zests and lime juice to a jug, pour over the hot ginger water, let cool, then cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

    To serve, strain the ginger lemonade through a fine sieve and fill glasses with each star anise.
